LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Marshall Track & Field opened its 2025-26 road slate with a statement performance at Friday's Bellarmine Open, notching 11 event victories, NCAA top-30 marks and multiple personal records. One of the Herd's biggest performances came from sophomore Joey Bloebaum, with a 21.33 time in the 200m - a time which is Marshall's best since the program returned in 2023, and is fractions off the school record time set by Randy Moss in 1997 (21.15).
"Today showed me a lot about our team," Director Keith Roberts said. "We were able to go on the road for the first time and not skip a beat. Our competitive spirit was second to none. One of the things that stood out to me among the wins, meet records, conference scoring performances and top-5 performances was our fight. There were some races where we had to fight down the home stretch to secure victory and we didn't back down."
