Bryce Blevins Named SBC Pitcher of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University Baseball pitcher Bryce Blevins was named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office, for his first weekly honor of 2026 and fifth of his career.

Blevins dealt on the mound to open the series on Friday against ODU with 8.1 innings of one-run baseball with seven strikeouts while allowing six hits and three walks.

The senior lefty stranded eight Monarchs on the basepaths and carried a shutout into the ninth during 124-pitch outing to earn his sixth in of the season, tied for the SBC lead and 12th most in the country.

Blevins has now recorded seven or more strikeouts in five of his nine starts.
