HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Volleyball team is set to begin the 2026 Regular Season at the Marshall Invitational this weekend in Huntington.
The Herd will host Bucknell, Niagara and Ohio in the Cam Henderson Center.

Marshall vs. Niagara – 1 p.m.
Niagara vs. Ohio – 5 p.m.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Emma Barnett was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Preseason Team.
- The sophomore led the Herd with 381.0 points and 331 kills during the 2025 season earning a third-team all-conference honor.
- Beatrice Ciccarelli returns to Huntington for her fifth season after being named second-team all-conference with 110 blocks in 2025, including 25 solo rejections.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
- The Bison are under first-year head coach John Post.
- Bucknell was picked to finish sixth in the Patriot League Coaches Preseason Poll and Sidney Schaeffer was preseason all-conference.
SCOUTING NIAGARA
- The Purples Eagles enter the season under fifth-year head coach Ren Cefra.
- Niagara finished 12-15 in 2025 and were tabbed to finish fifth in the 2026 Metro Conference Preseason Poll.
SCOUTING OHIO
- Kenzie Brinkman enters her second season as head coach of the Bobcats after being the interim for the 2025 campaign.
- Bailey Blair and Emily Waddell were picked to the 2026 Preseason All-MAC team with the Bobcats being picked tied for fourth in the preseason coaches poll.
