2022 (Sophomore)
GP/GS: 12/5 … Overcame slow start dealing with fall injury … Finished season with 12 appearances and five starts, 3-4 record, 3.94 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 32.0 innings good for third on the team in all categories … Made first appearance of the season on March 11 with one inning of relief against Norfolk State, retired all three batters in just nine pitches and recorded her first strikeout of the year, earned the win … Had first start of the year on March 19 at UAB, pitched three innings, allowed six hits and four runs, two strikeouts and took the loss … Tossed five strikeouts at Northern Kentucky (April 12) … Second start versus FIU (April 15) pitched season-high five innings allowed just three hits and one run, four strikeouts and earned the victory … Recorded third win of the season in final home game versus UTEP (May 1), pitched all five innings allowing just two runs and four strikeouts in the 13-2 win … Final start of the year was at North Texas (May 7), pitched 1.1 innings and had one strikeout … Came on in relief for final 4.2 innings against WKU (May 13) in the Conference USA Tournament, held Hilltoppers to just three hits and one unearned with a season-best six strikeouts … In two years at Marshall appeared in 25 games with eight starts, 7-5 record, 4.12 ERA, two complete games and 60 strikeouts in 69.2 innings pitched.

2021 (Freshman)
GP/GS: 13/3 … Began season coming on in relief eventually earning starts toward the end of the year in abbreviated freshman campaign due to COVID-19 … Finished season with a 4.27 ERA, 4-1 record, one complete game, and 31 strikeouts in 37.2 innings pitched … 31 strikeouts good for second on the team … Made collegiate debut with five innings of relief against Bowling Green (March 5), and after rough beginning settled in and struck out a season-high seven batters, allowed two hits and three runs earning the win … First nine appearances all in relief with two at Longwood (March 10), three at Middle Tennessee (April 9-11), one versus Florida Atlantic (April 17), one at FIU (April 24) and one at Charlotte (May 7) … Struck out three in 3.1 innings of relief at Middle Tennessee (April 11) … Recorded five strikeouts in five innings out of the bullpen at FIU (April 24) and earned second career win … Received first career start in game two of series at Charlotte (May 8), pitched six innings and struck out five … Started series finale at Charlotte (May 9) … Earned the start and pitched first career complete game in first round win of the Conference USA Tournament over Louisiana Tech (May 12), allowed five hits, two runs and struck out three earning fourth win … Final appearance in relief against Charlotte (May 12) in the C-USA Tournament.

High School: Attended first three years at George Washington High School, transferred to and graduated from St. Albans High School … Pitcher and hitter during prep career … During three seasons at GW, struck out 822 batters, bat .541 on offense and hit 14 home runs … Junior year in the circle at GW had a 21-4 record, 210 strikeouts and held opponents to a .189 batting average … On offense as a junior bat .519, slugged .954, a .587 on base percentage and hit 14 home runs … Named three-time First Team All-State and Three-time First Team all Mountain State Athletic Conference … Member of MSAC championship and state runner-up … Also lettered in basketball and volleyball.
 
Personal: Born August 21, 2002 … Daughter of Brian McCown and Matia Shelton … Chose Marshall because, “The family atmosphere and the coaches.” … Plans to major in athletic training.
