Career Notes: Began his career as a very successful pinch hitter before earning a starting role as the DH junior season...was 13-for-26 in pinch-hit situations over his first two seasons and 16-for-39 (.410) for his career...spent time at first base in his junior season but served primarily as the designated hitter.

2013: Hit safely in his first four games of his senior season and saw his average swell to .364...finished the season as a .208 hitter, appearing in 45 games (29 starts)...had multiple hits five times, including a 3-for-5 effort against Eastern Kentucky (5/1)...drew four walks against North Carolina A&T (2/24)...hit the game-winning double in the seventh inning of the season series-clinching win against West Virginia (5/14)...drove in 13 runs and scored 11 others in his final season of eligibility.

2012: Started 51 games, primarily as the designated hitter in the meat of the order...strung together a 15-game hitting streak beginning at Gardner-Webb (3/9) and ending with an 0-for-4 performance against Memphis (4/6)...saw his average climb as high as .349 as a result...homered twice against Eastern Michigan (3/2)...launched a game-winning bomb in the top of the ninth against UAB (3/23) in the first conference game of the season...hit four home runs with eight doubles on the year...recorded 14 multihit games including his first four-hit outing against Liberty (3/30)...drove in 32 runs and scored 28 times.

2011: Red-shirted, did not play.

2010: Saw game action in 43 contests and made 23 starts...recorded a .308 (28-for-91) average at the plate...roped five doubles, two homers and knocked in 14...was 2-for-2 on stolen bases...went 8-for-12 as a pinch hitter...five multi-hit games and four multi-RBI contests...went 3-for-4 with three RBI against No. 17 Ohio State...launched his first collegiate homer against Le Moyne (3/19)...laced three hits and two RBI against Southern Miss (4/18)...hit a pinch-hit homer at East Carolina (5/1).

Summer League: Played for the Licking County Settlers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League...hit at a .256 (11-for-43) batting clip...played in 17 games...lined four doubles, one homer and eight RBI.

2009: Saw action in 30 games, making seven starts...made five starts at 1B and two at DH...served primarily as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement...finished with 10 hits in 49 at bats (.204 batting average)...scored six runs and totaled six RBI...team-best pinch hitting average at .357 (5-for-14)...scored a run and added a RBI single in first collegiate start at Wake Forest (2/22)...walked three times, scored two runs, had two RBI and a single vs. Radford (2/27)...laced a pinch-hit RBI double at UCF (5/2).

High School: Batted .420 during senior year at Florida Christian...blasted four home runs and 28 RBI...member of district championship team in 2008...earned Biggest Impact Award...named second team All-Dade County...went 1-for-4 with an RBI in North/South all-star game...played summer ball for Linedrive Baseball in 2008.

Personal: Born May 3, 1990...son of Alfredo and Caridad Brito...sister Marilu Martin...maintained a 3.3 GPA in high school...garnered academic honor roll status...majoring in exercise physiology.
