2020 (REDSHIRT SENIOR): Made seven appearances out of the bullpen in the shortened season, which was the second most among the pitching staff … held a 3.86 ERA, pitching 9.1 innings, striking out nine batters on the season … ended the season on a two game scoreless streak and allowed just one earned run in his final 5.2 innings of work … for the fourth time in his career, struck out three batters in an outing on March 1 vs. Canisius, matching a career-high … he also set a career-high in innings pitched that day (2.2) … pitched a scoreless eighth inning to earn a hold in the season finale March 11 at Ohio … named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and awarded the C-USA Academic Medal for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
2019 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Made a team-high 29 appearances, all out of the bullpen, accumulating a 4-5 record and a 4.72 ERA … struck out 31 batters to 18 walks in 34.1 innings pitched … went a season-long 2.1 innings in a win at UAB with a season-high three strikeouts … also had three strikeouts against WKU (Apr. 13).
2018: Missed season due to injury.
Prior to Marshall: Attended Seminole State College, and prior to that attended Olsee High School (2011) and Edgewater High School (2012-2014)
Personal: Born April 9th, 1996....son of Derrick Knight Sr. and Tara Knight....brother Darryl Knight pitched for three seasons professionally in the Mets organization....majoring in Psychology.
