Rick Clark

Clark's Pump-N-Shop, Inc. was established in 1976 by John W. Clark with one convenience store in his hometown of Westwood, KY. In the 90’s Clark’s Pump-N-Shop, then at 18 locations, was purchased from John by his three sons Rick, Rodney, and Brent Clark. The company was expanded through group acquisitions in central Kentucky and new store construction throughout the Tri-State Area and Florida.

By 2022, Clark's Pump-N-Shop had expanded to 69 convenience stores in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida, with a home office in Ashland, KY. They have supported the stores surrounding communities by providing jobs for over 700 people in those four states. Clark’s Pump-N-Shop is currently owned and operated by Rick and his brother, Brent.

Outside of the company, Rick is a familiar name to those in the reining horse industry. He is currently serving his second term as NRHA President and has been a member of the association for nearly three decades. He has been involved in all aspects of reining, as an owner, breeder, competitor, Board and Committee member for NRHA and the Reining Horse Foundation. He’s also served on the NRHA Sale Committee and as a leader in the Futurity Challenge. In May, Clark’s Pump-N-Shop became the newest Global Partner for the National Reining Horse Association.
