GP/GS: 7/2 … Made two starts in seven appearances in first collegiate action during abbreviated season due to COVID-19 … Finished with a 7.00 ERA, 1-1 record, one complete game, one save, and 13 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched … Made collegiate debut with complete-game victory over Valparaiso (March 6), allowing five hits, one run and struck out a career-high seven batters … Ended four innings against Valpo with a strikeout … Earned first career save in next outing against Saint Francis (March 7) with three innings of relief, did not allow a run or a hit and struck out three … Recorded two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of relief against Valparaiso (March 7) … Received second career start in game two at Longwood (March 10) … Also appeared in relief at Chattanooga (March 20), at Middle Tennessee (April 9) and at Charlotte (May 8).

High School: Attended Bay City High School … Starred in the circle and at the plate … Picked up numerous awards during prep career … Honored as 2016 Newcomer of the Year, 2018 District MVP, 2018 Class 4-A All-State, 2018 Bay City Tribune All-County MVP and 2019 District MVP … Tallied 54 career wins, 864 strikeouts in 450.1 innings pitched … At the plate hit .447 with 48 extra base hits and 68 RBI … As a senior went undefeated in the circle, 10-0, pitching 101 innings and bat .548 with seven home runs and 28 RBI in 70 plate appearances … As a junior bat .397 with three home runs and seven doubles while also finishing with a 22-3 record, a 1.09 ERA and 301 strikeouts … Was also heavily involved at school off the field as a member of the National Honor Society, NTHS, HOSA, FCA (officer), Powerset (Officer), Student Council, MRMC Student Governing Board and Student Body Class Officer … Volunteered at local elementary schools by reading to students and worked at various county organizations … Graduated top 10 percent in her high school class … Received All-Academic Honors 2016-19 … Was 2018-19 Bay City Commerce Student of the Year Finalist … Named 2018 Miss Rice Festival Queen … Played travel ball for KC Jackson’s Impact Gold 18u National Team … Named to 2019 PGF High School All-American Watchlist.
 
Personal: Born May 5, 2001 … Daughter of Adolfo and Viola Garay … Has an older sister, Danielle, who attended Kentucky State and played softball earning five wins her senior season (2012) … Has an older brother, Brandon, who attended Texas A&M … Chose to transfer to Marshall because, “I really enjoy the atmosphere, the support from the community, and the amazing coaching staff and the team. The campus is beautiful and the traditions are very inspiring. Marshall is a great place to be and I’m so happy that I chose to be a part of the Herd!” … Majoring in health care management.
