GP/GS: 61/59 … One of the most exciting seasons by a freshman in Marshall softball history … Obliterated the old Herd rookie record for home runs (11) by smashing a team-record 20, even breaking the old record of 18 set by Rachel Folden in 2006 … Set new standard for total bases by a freshman with 130 breaking another record set by Folden (119) in 2005 … Became the first player in Marshall softball history to hit for the cycle in game one at Charlotte (March 16), in order of hits – triple in the second, single in the third, 2-run home run in the fifth, then double in the seventh … Along with homers and total bases led the team in hits (56), RBI (58) and slugging percentage (.765) … 58 RBI good for second-most in team history and had 15 games with two or more RBI … Second on the team with a .329 average, 42 runs scored, 10 doubles and two triples … One of three players on the Herd with an on base percentage over .400 (.411) … Walked 22 times and hit by three pitches … Hit a single down the left-field line in very first collegiate plate appearance at San Diego (Feb. 8) and finished the game 2-of-3, two runs scored and one RBI … Hit first career homer with a pinch-hit two run bomb against EKU (Feb. 15) … Had walk-off homer in the bottom of the eighth against UMass-Lowell (Feb. 22) … Recorded fourth career home run on her birthday in win over UNC-Wilmington (Feb. 23) … Hit fifth homer in first home game against Ohio (Feb. 27) … After recording the cycle in game one at Charlotte, followed up with a 3-for-3 performance with two doubles and a home run that produced seven RBI, the second-most in a single game in team history, in game two … Ended the weekend at Charlotte with another double in game three … Was named Conference USA Player of the Week (March 18) following the series at Charlotte and batting .727, slugging 1.818, an on base percentage of .750 and 10 RBI … Hit second triple of the year in game one win versus WKU (April 6) … Walked five times in home series against Louisiana Tech (April 19-20) including three times in game one … Hit a homer in three-straight games (April 23-27) with one against Louisville, two in game one at Middle Tennessee and one in game two and was named C-USA Player of the Week (April 29) … First homer in game one at MTSU (April 27) set new team record for home runs with 53rd of the year and then broke the Herd freshman record for home runs with second homer and finished the game with six RBI … Smacked two more home runs during regular season finale series against Florida Atlantic (May 4-5) … Had career long 10-game hitting streak (May 4-17) that ran through the Conference USA Tournament and into the NISC … Hit a home run in each game against Louisiana Tech in the C-USA Tournament with her Herd record-tying 18th coming in the C-USA Championship game … Smashed 19th and 20th homers of the season in win over Kent State (May 18) to help Marshall advance to NISC Regional Championship game.
