DENTON, Texas – The Marshall volleyball team continues its road trip to take on the North Texas Mean Green, Sunday at 1 p.m. eastern.

The Thundering Herd enter the match with an overall record of 10-14 and 3-7 in Conference USA. The Mean Green come in at 10-15 overall and 6-3 in conference play.

Marshall is coming off a four-set loss at Southern Miss Friday night. Redshirt sophomore Ciara Debell led the team with 17 kills while junior Ivana Trencheva added 10. Debell increased her season total to 378 kills. Freshman setter Gabrielle Coulter recorded 43 assists and now has 820 for the season. Junior libero Amber Weber had 14 digs in the match and has 473 for the year.

North Texas has won its last two C-USA matches with a sweep at WKU (Oct. 19) and a five-set win at UAB (Oct. 21). The match with Marshall is one of three remaining home contests for the Mean Green. Valerie Valerian (322 kills) and Rhett Robinson (277 kills) have been the major offensive contributors. Jordyn Williams is third with 190 kills. Karley York has 905 assists and is second with 245 digs. Valerian leads the team in digs with 249.

Following the Sunday afternoon match, Marshall returns to the Cam Henderson Center for its final two home matches of the regular season. Florida Atlantic comes to Huntington first on Nov. 2, while the FIU Panthers visit on Nov. 4 for senior day. The Herd then hits the road for a contest at WVU (Nov. 7) and then ends the regular season at Charlotte (Nov. 9).
