Volleyball Travels to Louisiana Tech for C-USA Road Match

RUSTON, La. – The Marshall volleyball team stays on the road for a Conference USA match at Louisiana Tech. First serve is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. eastern.

The Thundering Herd enters the match with a record of 7-10 and 0-3 in C-USA. The Lady Techsters come in at 6-11 overall and 1-1 in conference action.

Marshall is looking to get back on the winning side after falling in three sets at UAB, Friday night. Redshirt sophomore Ciara Debell leads the Herd with 247 kills while senior Shelby Conley is second with 112. Freshman Gabrielle Coulter leads the way in assists with 552 while junior Amber Weber has recorded 334 digs.

The Lady Techsters dropped its last match against Louisiana-Monroe in five sets this past Tuesday. La Tech sports four players all with over 100 kills this season in Kaitlyn Adams (166), Madeline Davis (137), Lara Hendricks (130) and Jordyn Carswell (109). Setter Abigail Hildenbrand has 500 assists and Alyssa Zucco leads the team with 230 digs.

Following the match in Ruston, the Herd heads back to the Cam Henderson Center for two-straight matches. Marshall first takes on WKU on Friday, Oct 5, and then UTSA on Sunday Oct. 7.
