LAST TIME OUT
After dropping a contest at home to UTEP 3-2, Marshall went on the road and took down FIU 6-0 this past Sunday. The 6-0 was the Herd's largest margin of victory in a shutout since a 6-0 win at St. Peter's on Aug. 27, 2006. Today's win was Marshall's first on the road this season.

McVicker made her first save of the contest 10:26 into the contest. Seven minutes later M. Abu-Tayeh fired the Herd's first shot on target and scored to give MU a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.

Marshall continued the barrage when Morgan White found the back of the goal at 24:29 for her first career goal, which was assisted by M. Abu-Tayeh.

Metztli Gonzalez then closed out the half with her first goal of the season in the 43rd minute to put the Herd up 3-0.

MU started the second half on fire with goals in three consecutive minutes as M. Abu Tayeh scored her second of the game, Rebekah Cook hit the target and it benefitted from an own goal by the Panthers between the 55th and 57th minutes. M. Abu-Tayeh also recorded her second assist of the contest on Cook's goal.

Marah Abu-Tayeh earned C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week for scoring three goals and tallying two assists in the two games.

SCOUTING ODU
The Monarchs have an overall record of 6-2-2 and are searching for their first C-USA victory sitting at 0-2-0 to this point in the season. ODU comes into the contest winless in its last three contests falling 1-0 at North Texas on Sept. 20, playing to a 0-0 draw at Auburn on Sept. 22 and falling to Louisiana Tech 2-1 in Norfolk on Sept. 27.

Amanda Nhek has a team-leading 20 points and 21 shots this season while also leading the team with eight goals Kyra Ricks is second on the team in goals with four while being tied with Emma Gervase in assists with three.

SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
The 49ers are 6-3 overall this season with a 1-1 record in Conference USA play. Like the Thundering Herd, Charlotte played a ranked opponent earlier this season as it was defeated by then-ranked No. 25 Wake Forest 3-0 on Sept. 1. The 49ers are coming off a 2-0 win at FIU last week.

Charlotte has two players tied for the team lead in points at 14 by Megan Greene and Julia Grainda. Greene has a team-leading six goals, while Grainda leads the squad with four assists and is second in goals with five.
