Herd in Georgia, Morgantown
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Track and Field is back in action this week, as the team prepares to compete in two different competitions. Half of the team is traveling to Kennesaw, Georgia for the Don McGarey Invitational. The other half will head to Morgantown for the State Farm Friends of Track Mountaineer Showcase.

With the Don McGarey Invitational, Kennesaw State will be host its first-ever home track and field meet. Fourteen different programs are set to compete, including schools such as UNC Asheville, USC Upstate, University of North Alabama and Gardner-Webb.

The Herd is sending 15 of its athletes.

The invitational begins for Marshall on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m., when MaryAnn Adebayo, Reneese Batson and Hasana Clark will compete in hammer throw.

Top-ranked competitors to keep an eye on:
More than 20 Herd athletes will make the trip up to Morgantown for the State Farm Friends of Track Mountaineer Showcase.

The showcase will feature nine different schools (including Marshall) and the WVU Track Club.
Â
Events will take place at Mylan Park, and any traveling fans may be required to park in overflow lots throughout the area. Shuttles will be provided for transport to and from facilities.

Kylie Miles will be the first athlete up for the Herd. She competes in the hammer throw event at 2 p.m. on Friday.
