Baseball Set for Road Finale Against Ohio

Marshall is 2-0 against the Bobcats this season
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall baseball (24-26, 11-15 C-USA) will head to Athens, Ohio, to take on the Ohio Bobcats for its final road and mid-week game of the regular season on Tuesday.

The Herd comes into the game having already won the season series against the Bobcats taking a road contest 6-1 in Athens on Mar. 26 and taking a contest at the Kennedy Center 4-3 in 11 innings on Apr. 16.

Marshall was swept this past weekend at Old Dominion.

Erik Rodriguez broke the program's single-season triples record on Sunday with his eighth of the season. He is third in the nation in triples.

Marshall currently sits in eighth place in the C-USA standings heading into this week, with its magic number being three to clinch a spot in Bilxoi for the 2019 Conference USA Baseball Tournament.

Ohio enters the game 16-30, with a 10-13 record in Mid-American Conference action.

If the Bobcats win its series this weekend against Western Michigan, it will qualify the MAC Baseball Tournament as the sixth seed.
