Thundering Herd in Action Friday at Mid-Atlantic Regionals

Women run at noon, men at 1
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Marshall's men's and women's cross country teams will be in action Friday afternoon at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, an event that is hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
The races will be run on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
Also competing on the women's side will be runners from American, Bucknell, Delaware, Duquesne, George Washington, Georgetown, La Salle, Lafayette, Lehigh, Loyola (Md.), Monmouth, Navy, NJIT, Penn, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Princeton, Rider, Robert Morris, Rutgers, Saint Francis, Seton Hall, St. Joseph's, Temple, Towson, UMBC, Villanova and WVU.
Runners from Delaware State and Mount St. Mary's will also compete on the men's side.
Both Thundering Herd teams are coming off sixth-place finishes at the Conference USA meet, which featured Abby Herring's ninth-place individual finish, the best Marshall performance in any conference meet since Michelle Strager took ninth at the 1993 Southern Conference Championships.
Evan White took 32nd overall to pace the Marshall men.
"We are stoked to be up at the historic Lehigh University course for our regional championship," said Caleb Bowen, Marshall's Assistant Coach for Cross Country. "This course is awesome. Other than the rain that's going to come through in the morning, it's looking to be a great day. We are looking to make some Marshall history once again. I can't wait to watch these men and women get after it and compete with some of the best in the country!"
