SPRINGBORO, Ohio – The Marshall men's golf team is back on the links at the Wright State Invitational, April 18-19. Event takes place at the Heatherwoode Golf Club.
The Wright State Invitational will tee off Sunday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The teams are scheduled to play two rounds on Sunday and one final round on Monday. The course is a par 71, with total yardage of 7,075. Live scoring is provided by GolfStat.com.
It is the final tournament of the 2021 spring regular season for the Thundering Herd. Marshall will then travel to Texarkana, Ark., April 26-29, for the Conference USA Championships.
Competing for the Herd will be all upperclassmen with redshirt seniors Matt Hoffman, Cameron Root and Will Straub, and seniors Noah Mullens and Brad Plaziak. Marshall is coming off a 10th place finish at the Mountaineer Invitational, April 12-13.
The Herd is one of 17 teams playing at Wright State. The other programs are Butler, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, IUPUI, Loyola Chicago, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris, St. Francis, Valparaiso, Youngstown State and the host Wright State.
