Herd tees off first round Monday at 9:50 a.m. eastern

TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Marshall men's golf team is back on the course at the Conference USA Championships, April 26-29, at the Texarkana Country Club. This will be the 11th year that the Texarkana Country Club has hosted the event.
The Thundering Herd tees off in the first round on Monday at 9:50 eastern/8:50 a.m. central. Thirteen teams in all will be playing for the 2021 C-USA Title. The course is a par 72 with total yardage of 6,969.
The format consists of 54 holes Monday through Wednesday, with each round teeing off at 9 a.m. eastern/8 a.m. central. The top four teams will advance to Thursday's seeded match play portion, starting with a semifinal round at 9 a.m. eastern/8 a.m. central that day. The winners will then compete for the C-USA Championship Thursday afternoon.

Competing for Marshall will be redshirt seniors Cameron Root, Will Straub and Matt Hoffman, along with sophomores Christian Boyd and Tyler Jones and senior Noah Mullens.
The Herd is coming off a seventh place finish out of 17 teams at the Wright State Invitational, April 18-19. Hoffman was named C-USA Men's Golfer of the Week after his performance at Wright State. Earlier this week, Jones was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team.
