HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University women's soccer team (3-5-1, 0-1-0 C-USA) tries to get back in the win column as it heads to Hattiesburg, Miss., to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (5-2-0, 1-0-0 C-USA) on Sunday afternoon.

HAVE YOU HEARD
Marshall fell to the WKU Hilltoppers 2-1 in overtime on Thursday at Hoops Family Field.
Freshman forward Meg Jarvis scored her third goal in the last two games in the loss. It was her team-leading fourth goal of the season.
Junior forward Morgan White assisted on the goal, her team best second helper of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Mira Pastoft made four saves in the loss. Pstoft has made 15 saves in eight appearances this season sporting a 1.18 goals against average and a 3-2-1 record.
Senior forward Kat Gonzalez has three goals this season, second on the Herd, to go with a team-leading 25 shots and 12 shots on goal.
SCOUTING SOUTHERN MISS
The Golden Eagles are 5-2-0 this season with their lone two losses coming by one goal each at SEC foes LSU and Alabama.
USM is 1-0-0 in C-USA after beating Charlotte 2-0 in Charlotte.
Ilana Izquierdo has a team-high five goals, 13 points and 16 shots this year, while contributing eight shots on goal.
Ariel Diaz has assisted on six tallies, seen three shots hit the back of the net and has a team-high nine shots on target.
