Marshall Volleyball Heads to Troy for a Pair of Matches

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University volleyball team (7-9, 1-3 Sun Belt) travels to Troy, Alabama, for two matches against the Troy Trojans (8-8, 2-2 Sun Belt) on Thursday and Friday. Both contests start at 7 p.m. EST/6 p.m. CST.

Series History:
vs. Troy – Troy leads the all-time series 2-0, last meeting was on Sept. 14, 2019, in St. Louis, Missouri (3-1 Troy win)

Graduate student Macy McElhaney leads the Herd with 184 kills (3.07 kills per set). Senior Lydia Montague has a team- and conference-best 69 blocks.

Fifth-year senior Kaitlyn Gehler leads Marshall with 229 digs.

Sophomore Brynn Brown leads MU with eight double-doubles this season, including three triple-doubles, tied for fourth most in the country. The Sophomore setter recorded the 500th set of her career on Thursday against Georgia State.

Scouting the Opponent
Troy
The Trojans are 8-8 with a 2-2 conference record. They split a pair of matches last weekend at Southern Miss.

Tori Hester is second in the Sun Belt with 268 kills as Amara Anderson has 640 assists this season, third in the league.
