Marshall Readies for Home Series against Merrimack

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University baseball team (9-5) hosts the Merrimack College Warriors (2-6) for a three-game series.

There will be a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday with game three being played Saturday or Sunday at 1 p.m. pending weather.

Ryan Capuano has 22 strikeouts, tied for seventh most in Conference USA, in 16 innings pitched across three starts. Among eligible pitchers, Jeffrey Purnell leads Marshall with a 1.69 ERA, seventh best in the conference.

The Warriors are 2-6 this season after getting swept in a four-game series at No. 19 Texas Tech.
