Women’s Golf Set for River Landing Classic

Three-round, two-day event set for March 7-8
WALLACE, N.C. – The Marshall women's golf team is back in action March 7-8 at the River Landing Classic, hosted by UNC-Wilmington. Marshall is one of 14 teams competing in the tournament.
The three-round, two-day event will be played at the River Landing Golf Course which is a par-72, with total yardage of 6,026. The tournament tees off on Monday, March 7, with a 9 a.m., shotgun start and will be continuous play for two rounds. The third and final round gets started Tuesday at 9 a.m., with another shotgun start.

Competing for Marshall is fifth-year senior Stormy Randazzo, seniors Jackie Schmidt and Torren Kalaskey, and freshmen Katie Potter and Emily McLatchey. The Herd will begin the day on holes 14-17.
The River Landing Classic is Marshall's first action since Feb. 14-15, at the First Coast Classic in Jacksonville, Florida. This will be the fifth-straight year that the Herd has competed at the River Landing Classic. Marshall came through with a fifth-place finish on its first trip to Wallace, North Carolina, March 6, 2018. Randazzo, a freshman at the time, tied for fourth to lead the team. She shot a career-best 3-under 69 in the first round.
Five of the 13 opponents for Marshall are ranked in the GolfStat Top 100. The other programs competing at the River Landing Classic are the host team UNC Wilmington, Boston University, (No. 82) Boston College, (No. 64) Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Elon, (No. 97) James Madison, (No. 79) Kennesaw State, Richmond, USC Upstate, (No. 77) Charlotte, UNC Greensboro and William & Mary.
