Herd Baseball Welcomes Georgia Southern for Three-Game Series

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University baseball team (15-20, 4-11 Sun Belt) is set to host the Georgia Southern Eagles (18-19, 8-7 Sun Belt) at the Kennedy Center for three games beginning Friday.

The Eagles enter the weekend after suffering a 13-9 defeat at Kennesaw State on Wednesday.

With 54 hits this season, Jesse Sherrill leads the Sun Belt with his .380 batting average ranking third.

Noah Ledford has drawn a SBC-best 34 walks this season as Jay Thompson's seven saves lead the league.

Friday's probably starting pitcher Ty Fisher is one of six pitchers in the conference to hurl a complete game this season as he has a 2-4 record, 5.54 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 45 strikeouts.
