Herd T&F Hosts Marshall Alumni Classic Saturday

Program to honor all alumni of Marshall track and field
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The 2023-24 Marshall track and field season gets in full swing Saturday with the Marshall Alumni Classic from the Jeff Small Track at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
The Herd's second of three home meets will kick off a busy 2024 with Coach Keith Roberts's team scheduled to compete in 16 different meets.
The facility opens at 8 a.m. Saturday with throwing events starting at 9:30 a.m. The first running event on the track will be at 2 p.m.

"I'm looking forward to the start of the new year," Coach Roberts said. "This meet will teach me a lot about our team. With a long break our student-athletes had to train on their own. We'll see what we do well and what we need to work on. And it's always exciting to have alumni back on campus and to celebrate the past, present and future of Marshall Track & Field."
Following Saturday's meet, the track and field program will hit the road next week with split squads at Indiana and VMI.
