Herd Baseball Starts 2024 at College of Charleston

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team is set to begin the 2024 season in Charleston, South Carolina, in a four-game series to begin on Thursday against the College of Charleston.

Game 1, Friday, February 16 – 4 p.m.
Game 2, Saturday, February 17 – 2 p.m.
Game 3, Sunday, February 18 – 2 p.m.
Game 4, Monday, February 19 – 1 p.m.

PRE-GAME NOTES

The Herd is led by Head Coach Greg Beals, who enters his second season in Huntington.
The roster features 21 returnees including Owen Ayers. Ayers set the single-season program record in doubles at 23 last season.
Drew Harlow also returns on the bump for the Green and White. Harlow appeared in 20 games, all out of the bullpen, with a 6-4 record and 52 strikeouts in 45.1 innings.

ABOUT THE COUGARS

The College of Charleston went 36-22 last season, including wins over then-ranked No. 14 Virginia Tech and Coastal Carolina.
Chad Holbrook is entering his seventh season as head coach at College of Charleston, with no losing seasons during his tenure.
