HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall track and field will take a group of athletes to the elite Raleigh Relays. The three-day event starts Thursday from North Carolina State University.Â
Last year at the Raleigh Relays, Kylee Mastin broke the school's 1500 meter record, one of two outdoor events the New Carlisle, Ohio native holds after taking down the 800 meter record last week at Florida State.Â

The meet will be another example of the Herd, led by Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts, traveling to a meet against top competition, with the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships a little over a month away.
"The competition of the Sun Belt Conference is at a very high-level," Roberts said. "This will just give us a taste of what it will be like and it lets you know that it does not matter what the uniform says, we have to go out there and roll, so we can't go out and hold anyone on a pedestal, we have to go out and compete."Â
