Purvis Sets PR at First Day of Raleigh Relays

Relays continue Friday from NCSU
RALEIGH, N.C. – Several Marshall track and field athletes competed on day one of the elite Raleigh Relays.
Most notably, Herd junior transfer John Purvis set a personal best in the shot put with a 14th place finish and a 16.49 meter throw. His mark would currently score at the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Additionally, in track's longest event, the 10K, senior Evan White came within a second of the Marshall school record in the event (Dave Kline - 29:50.24).
