Herring Shatters 10K School Record at Raleigh Relays

Relays Close Saturday from NC State
RALEIGH, N.C. – Marshall graduate senior Abby Herring took down the 10K school record with a time of 33:08.07 in track's longest event.
The school's previous record was set by Herring last year (35:07.74).
Herring's time leads the event in the Sun Belt Conference. Her, alongside Kylee Mastin, set top marks in the league Friday.
Mastin's time of 4:25.43 in the 1500 is the new top mark in the event in the SBC.
Additionally, senior Rebecca Merritt opened the day with an 11th placed finish in the discus. Her 45.17 meter throw is marked as the fifth-best in program history.
