HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (12-19, 5-7 Sun Belt) hits the road to Cajun Country to take on Louisiana (25-9, 11-1 Sun Belt) for a three-game series in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The Herd captured its midweek contest on Wednesday, 3-2, in 11 innings against in-state rival West Virginia. Caden Kaiser brought home the winning run with a walk-off single.
Saturday's probable starter Bryce Blevins took home his third SBC Pitcher of the Week award on Tuesday, the first player in program history to win three weekly awards in the same season.
Cam Harthan has reached base safely in 18 straight games.
With 13 doubles, Owen Ayers sits in tied for the lead in the Sun Belt while sitting on an 11-game hit streak. Ayers is tied for the team lead in home runs at six with Elijah Vogelsong.

ABOUT THE RAGIN' CAJUNS

Louisiana was on a 16-game winning streak before falling in a midweek contest on Wednesday night to Louisiana Tech, 7-2.
The Ragin' Cajuns have won their last 11 SBC games since dropping their conference opener to Arkansas State.
Pitching has been Louisiana's strength during the 2024 season, sporting eighth best ERA in the nation at 3.62 with four shutouts, tied for fourth in the country.
Kyle DeBarge sits second in the conference with 12 homers.
