HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (18-34, 9-18 Sun Belt) finishes the 2024 regular season against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (30-21, 13-14 Sun Belt) with a home series at Jack Cook Field beginning on Thursday.
SENIOR DAY SATURDAY
Marshall Baseball will host Senior Day on Saturday in a pregame ceremony. We will honor 17 seniors, Tre Hondras, Jack Firestone, Kebler Peralta, Gabriel Cabrera, Chad Heiner, Cole Agemy, Peyton Schofield, Drew Harlow, Caden Kaiser, Nick Jodway, Gio Ferraro, Jay Kehoe, Alex McKay, Carter Lyles, Calin Smith, Lenny Washington and Owen Ayers, for their contributions to the program.

- The Herd is coming off a 13-11 win at Ohio on Tuesday.
- Caden Kaiser had a career game in Athens launching a pair of homers, including a grand slam, to go with eight RBI in the victory.
- Owen Ayers leads the Sun Belt and tied for fourth nationally with 23 doubles on the year, one away from breaking his single-season program record of 23 from last season.
- With 16 stolen bases, Cam Harthan sits in eighth in the SBC. Harthan leads the team with .331 batting average, 18 multi-hit games and six three-hit contests.
- Saturday's scheduled starter Bryce Blevins sits third in the conference, 40th nationally, with a 2.93 ERA and second in the SBC with 27 strikeouts looking across a league-high 80.0 innings on the bump.
ABOUT THE CHANTICLEERS
- Coastal Carolina enters the final weekend of the regular season coming off a home series win over Georgia State.
- The Chanticleers lead the Sun Belt with a .302 batting average and sit in second with 466 runs scored during the season.
- They have two hitters batting above .370 with Graham Brown at .370 and Sam Antonacci at .383. Antonacci has scored the third most runs in the country at 78.
- Friday's scheduled starting pitcher Riley Eikhoff sits at the top of the SBC in walks per nine innings (1.67) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.91).
