HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (16-32, 8-16) prepares for its penultimate Sun Belt Conference series of the season in Harrisonburg, Virginia, against the James Madison Dukes (28-19, 13-11 Sun Belt) set to begin on Friday.

PRE-GAME NOTES

The Herd has won three of its last four games after taking its midweek contest on Wednesday 7-4 over Ohio.
Owen Ayers enters the weekend with an SBC leading 22 doubles, one shy of tying his single-season program record of 23 that he set last season.
Saturday's probable starter Bryce Blevins picked up his fourth SBC Pitcher of the Week Award on Tuesday becoming just the third player in conference history to win four weekly awards in the same season. The sophomore leads the conference in innings pitcher (73.0), ERA (2.59) and strikeouts looking (26).

ABOUT THE DUKES

JMU took its series last weekend over Arkansas State. It didn't play a midweek game this week as its contest scheduled for Wednesday against USC Upstate was canceled.
Fenwick Trimble sits in sixth in the league with 67 as his .354 batting average ranks ninth.
Donovan Burke, Friday's projected starter, ranks seventh in the SBC with a 3.76 ERA to go with a 5-1 record and 48 strikeouts.
