HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Volleyball team (6-4) travels to Greensboro, North Carolina, for the Greensboro Invitational beginning on Friday to close out non-conference play. The Herd will face Georgetown and Tennessee Tech on Friday before closing out the event on Saturday against UNCG.

- Marshall fell in four sets on Tuesday to EKU in the team's home opener.
- Brynn Brown sits 14 assists away from 2,000 in her career. The senior setter has seven double-doubles, including four triple-doubles, in the team's first 10 matches.
- With 173 digs, Peyton Neal leads the SBC and ranks 18th nationally. The team's 16.37 digs per sets ranks 38th in the country.
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
- The Hoyas enter the weekend 7-2 and have won their last six matches by dropping just three sets.
- As a team, Georgetown averages the 17th most kills per set in the country at 14.03.
- On the defensive end, Vaughn Anoa'i leads the team with 42 blocks in her first nine matches.
SCOUTING TENNESSEE TECH
- The Golden Eagles are a perfect 9-0 coming into the Greensboro Invitational giving up just a pair of sets to Towson on September 6.
- Tennessee Tech's defense holds the ninth-best opponent hitting percentage at .127.
- Jordan Karlen averages 11.03 assists per set, the ninth most in the country.
SCOUTING UNCG
- The Spartans hold a 4-5 record as it hosts the tournament. They went 1-2 last weekend at the Hokie Invitational picking up a victory over Norfolk State while falling to Cleveland State and Virginia Tech.
- Allie Sweet averages 4.32 kills per set, 24th most in Division I volleyball.
