Marshall in 7th in team standings following strong 2nd round
ASHEBORO, N.C. – Marshall junior Olivia Kochan is in 14th place following the first two rounds of action at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club in Asheboro, N.C. on Monday.
Kochan started the day off strong with three birdies in her first nine holes en route to a 1-over 73 that got the Herd going in the first round. She followed that up with a 4-over 76 in the day's final 18 and is currently in the top-15 as we head to Tuesday's final round of action.
The best second round score came from Savannah Hawkins, who shot a 3-over 75 to pace the team. After a tough start, the freshman from Hurricane played strong over her final 10 holes, notching nine consecutive pars before finishing the round with a birdie.
In her first team appearance with the Herd, Maddi Hudson put together a strong second round performance, finishing with a 4-over 76 that included going even over her final nine holes. Hudson led Marshall with three birdies in the second round.
Marshall finishes action on Tuesday morning with Hudson starting things off from Hole No. 10 at 9:18 a.m.
