Marshall Women’s Golf Completes Day One Of Butler Fall Invitational

Herd, Kochan both tied for 4th heading into Tuesday’s final day of action
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Marshall Women's Golf is in a three-way tie for fourth place after the first day at the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Country Club in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Marshall's Olivia Kochan leads the way after consistent rounds of 71 and 72 to pace the Herd. Currently, Kochan is tied for fourth place entering Tuesday's final round.
Abbey Bull shot an opening round 73 and Emily McLatchey had an opening round 74 to help the Herd's cause while Madison Borders and Savannah Hawkins shot a pair of 75s as well.
Hawkins' second round 75 ended with a flurry as she birdied two of the last four holes, including a birdie on No. 5 – her last hole of the day – to give the Herd some momentum and forge the three-way tie with Morehead State and Marian for fourth place in the team standings.
The final round will take place Tuesday with a 10 a.m. ET (9 a.m. CT) shotgun start.
