HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football hits the road this weekend looking to snap a two-game skid whenever the Thundering Herd takes on Georgia State at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

PRE-GAME NOTES
Marshall kicker Lorcan Quinn is currently 17 of 21 on the season in field goal attempts. He has five straight games with at least two field goals, which sets a Marshall program record. Quinn is two field goals away from tying the single-season record of 19 field goals.
Marshall quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson gets to experience playing in front of his family this weekend as the Herd heads to Atlanta while taking on Georgia State. Del Rio-Wilson finished his high school football career at Cartersville after previously playing at McEachern High School.
Marshall cornerback Boogie Trotter has two interception returns for touchdowns in Sun Belt play. Both of those interceptions occurred on the first drive of the game against Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina.
Herd receiver Demarcus Lacey is in the top-10 in FBS in punt return average at 13.6 yards per return.
Georgia State picked off two passes in the first quarter of the first game against Ole Miss, but has not picked off a pass since. That is a stretch of 35 quarters without an interception.
ABOUT MARSHALL
Marshall comes into the contest with a record of 4-5 overall and 2-3 in SBC play after losing its last two games to Coastal Carolina and James Madison.
Herd quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson has thrown for 1,440 yards and has rushed for another 490 yards. Lacey is his favorite target with 45 receptions for 543 yards.
Running back Antwan Roberts has eclipsed the 100-yard mark in each of the last two games for the Herd rushing attack, which is averaging 211 rushing yards per game.
Marshall's defense is led by Boogie Trotter who is tied for the FBS lead with five interceptions in 2025, including two returned for a touchdown.

ABOUT GEORGIA STATE
Georgia State comes into Saturday's contest with a 1-8 record overall and 0-5 in Sun Belt Conference play. The Panthers are coached by Dell McGee.
Georgia State utilizes a two-quarterback system with Cameran Brown and T.J. Finley rotating in behind center.
No matter the quarterback, the Panthers feature arguably the Sun Belt's top receiver in wide receiver Ted Hurst, who has 57 catches and 854 yards receiving with six touchdowns.
Defensively, the Panthers are led by Josiah Robinson, who leads the team with 64 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and a sack.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Marshall and Georgia State with Marshall currently holding a 2-1 series lead. The two teams have met each year since Marshall joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2022.
