Marshall T&F is starting season three under Director of Track and Field, Keith Roberts. The Herd is coming off a 2024-25 campaign with three SBC Gold Medals, two NCAA Preliminary Qualifiers, and over 10 school records broken.

"I am looking forward to our first meet this season," Coach Roberts said. "After a long fall of training it is always good to get back into the indoor facility and compete against other teams and to reap the benefits of the hard work the team has put in throughout the conditioning and preparation phase. We have many new faces who we think can contribute greatly to our team and a lot of returners who had some success last year and are ready to build on the things that they started last year."

Over 40 athletes return for Coach Roberts and the Herd, including senior and Huntington native Markayla Moore, who is about to begin her fourth and final season with the program.

"I'm really looking forward to Saturday," said Moore. "I'm excited to see many of my teammates compete in their first collegiate meet and watch all their hard work pay off. I'm also eager to see how I perform—my confidence has grown a lot, and I feel more connected to my event than ever before. I can't wait to showcase that progress!"

In the offseason, Marshall has welcomed in over 30 newcomers to the program, including sophomore Anthony Belcher. The Poca native will compete in his first meet for the Herd after winning the 2025 Mountain East Conference Championship in Discus.

"I just want everyone to show out and have fun," Belcher said. "As far as myself, I want to set a standard for myself and prove I can be competitive in the conference."
