Herd Baseball Travels North for Contest at WVU on Tuesday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (12-12) heads north to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers (19-3) 6:30 p.m. Wagener Field at Kendrick Family Ballpark.

PRE-GAME NOTES
  • The Herd fell in its series to the James Madison Dukes over the weekend.
  • After a pair of multi-hit efforts on Saturday and Sunday, Maika Niu now has 10 multi-hit games this season. Niu's 30 hits and 21 runs scored lead the Herd.
  • Ethan Murdoch has bashed seven homers this season, tied for sixth most in the Sun Belt, as AJ Havrilla leads the team with 21 RBI.
 
ABOUT THE MOUNTAINEERS
  • WVU is coming off a series loss this weekend at home to the Arizona Wildcats.
  • The Mountaineers give up the sixth fewest hits per nine innings a6 6.75 and have the eighth lowest ERA at 3.29.
  • Sam White leads his side with 32 hits and 26 RBI in 22 games this season with Skylar King sporting a .414 batting average.
