PRE-GAME NOTES

The Herd fell in its series to App State last weekend at Jack Cook Field.
Marshall leads the Sun Belt Conference with 29 double plays in 2025.
Maika Niu has a team-leading 14 multi-hit games as he leads MU with 40 hits, 11 doubles and four triples.
At 27 RBI and eight homers, Ethan Murdoch leads Marshall in both categories as he also has a team-best eight multi-RBI games.

ABOUT THE MOUNTAINEERS

West Virginia entered the Division I Baseball rankings at 24 as it enters Tuesday on a 10-game winning streak after a road sweep of the Houston Cougars.
The Mountaineer offense averages 9.2 runs per game, the 16th most in the country.
WVU has the 14th best ERA in the nation at 3.81.
Skylar King has a team-high .377 batting average and 43 hits as Jace Rinehart has 34 RBI, 12 doubles and six homers.
