- The Herd swept the Georgia State Panthers over the weekend in Atlanta for its last road series of the season.
- Maika Niu is swinging a hot bat as he's now tied with Ethan Murdoch for the team lead in homers at 10 after hitting six in his last six games. Niu also leads the team with 40 RBI this season.
- Out of the bullpen, Tim Baird has 41 strikeouts in 28.0 innings on the bump as Nicholas Weyrich has five wins and four saves in 2025.
- At 10 sacrifice flies, AJ Havrilla is tied for the national lead as Elijah Vogelsong ranks 25th with 46 walks.
ABOUT THE HOKIES
- Virginia Tech is coming off a pair of wins over Mercer this weekend in Blacksburg.
- During the 2025 campaign, the Hokies rank 16th nationally with 114 doubles and 13th 10.8 strikeouts per nine innings.
- Sam Tackett leads VT with a .324 batting average and 13 homers while ranking tied with Jared Davis at 42 RBI.
