Appeared in 22 games, making 21 relief appearances and one start…finished with a 2-4 record, a 3.95 ERA and five saves across 54.2 innings with 62 strikeouts…five appearances with at least five strikeouts… hurled a season-high 7.2 innings with a season-best nine punch outs against Arkansas State (Mar. 24).
2023 (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in 18 contests on the mound, all in relief...struck out 25 batters in 19.0 innings pitched...recorded a season-high four strikeouts in a season-high 2.0 innings pitched at Morehead State (May 10).
2022 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 17 games, 16 relief appearances and one start…threw 19.2 innings and recorded 17 strikeouts…had a season-high three strikeouts in two games once against Indiana State on February 20 and another time against Morehead State on May 17 in which he threw a season-high 3.0 innings.
High School: Attended and played baseball at London High School in London, Ohio, for one year and three years at Urbana High School in Urbana, Ohio…was his team’s baseball MVP, the CBC Player of the Year and first-team all-state during his senior year.
Personal: Born Mar. 11, 2003…son of Anthony and Melissa Weyrich…father, Anthony, played baseball at Eastern Kentucky University…has an old brother, Stuart…lists his father as his biggest role model because he has taught him everything that he knows about baseball and has pushed him to be the best he can be…wants to play professional baseball after his time at Marshall…lists fishing and playing video games among his favorite hobbies.
