HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 4 Marshall University Baseball (31-24) prepares for its first contest at the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship presented by Troy University against No. 5 seed Louisiana (26-29) in Montgomery, Alabama, at Riverwalk Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST/7:30 p.m. CST.

- The Herd closed out the regular season with a series sweep overt the Georgia Southern Eagles last weekend at Jack Cook Field.
- Marshall enters the tournament winning 13 of its last 15 contests, scoring 10 runs in nine of those contests.
- As a team, MU has turned the second most double plays this season at 41 two behind Arkansas State's 43.
- At a .301 batting average, Eddie Leon leads the Herd as his 18 doubles rank second in the conference.
- AJ Havrilla is tied for the national lead at 10 sacrifice flies during 2025.
- Probable starter Bryce Blevins holds a 5-5 record in 14 starts with 44 strikeouts in a team-high 83 innings.
ABOUT THE RAGIN' CAJUNS
- Louisiana fell in its final series of the season to Arkansas State in Lafayette.
- The Ragin' Cajuns lead the Sun Belt with 93 stolen bases this season, averaging 1.69 per game.
- Connor Higgs leads his side with a .346 batting average and 16 homers during the season.
- Tate Hess is the probable starter for the Ragin' Cajuns with a 6-2 record in 19 appearances, five starts, with 63 strikeouts in 55.2 innings.
