erd Track & Field Opens 2026 With Strong Showing at Marshall Alumni Classic
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Track and Field launched its 2026 indoor campaign with 18 individual victories at the Marshall Alumni Classic Saturday at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex. The Herd set a wave of meet records and personal bests with sophomore Wyatt Milhoan breaking the school record in the Men's Indoor 300, racing a time of 34.40.
"I don't think you could ask for more coming out of a break like we had," Director of Track & Field Keith Roberts said. "You could tell people put in the work and continued to grind, they came in focused and ready to get it done."
"We had a school record, meet records, and performances that could score for us in conference. The main goal for us is to score big points at conference and be a top team in the Sun Belt and I am starting to see in the different event areas from the throws to the sprints to the jumps and distance, there are really no weak areas that we have right now. We just want to continue to grow as a team and get better."
