HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (18-20) returns home to host Morehead State (18-21) on Wednesday morning for Education Day.

PRE-GAME NOTES
  • The Herd fell in its series at South Alabama over the weekend.
  • Evan Bottone is fourth in the SBC with a .374 batting average and in on-base percentage at .472.
  • Tyler Kamerer and Cooper Hinson are tied for the team lead with 15 doubles each tied for fourth in the Sun Belt Conference.
  • Kamerer also lead the SBC with 45 runs scored after crossing home five times across the weekend in Mobile.
  • AJ Havrilla ranks 15th nationally with 39 walks during the 2026 season and leads the SBC.
 
ABOUT THE EAGLES
  • Morehead State was swept by Lindenwood last weekend in a home series.
  • The Eagles rank 14th in the nation with a .317 batting average and ninth nationally with 437 hits.
  • Aubrey Kearns has the sixth most hits in the country with 65 and 12th best batting average at .409.
