Prior to Marshall: Played two seasons at Eastern Kentucky University, prior to EKU he attended Pensacola State from 2017-2018 and Seminole State from 2018-2019. He ranked 39th in the nation in strikeouts during his time at Seminole State College, averaged 10.85 strikeouts per nine innings. In his last season at EKU, he was tied for fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference for in strikeouts. Was named to the All-State team in high school. 

Personal: Birthday is February 4, 1999. He is the son of Louis and Jackie Davenport and has two younger brothers named Jonathan and Jeremy. Outside of sports he enjoys video games and watching movies. Major is Sport Management and would like to become a coach or agent after he is done playing baseball.
