Volleyball Falls to Tulane in Four

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University volleyball team received a combine 41 kills from three players and Elizabeth Fleming dished out 50 assists, however Tulane came away with the 3-1 (19-25, 28-30, 25-23, 15-25) victory on Friday night, in Conference USA action at the Cam Henderson Center.
The trio of Elizabeth Herman (16), Abby Tomas (14) and Cameron Yoho (11) all reached double figures in kills for the Thundering Herd, which dropped to 10-19 overall and 4-13 in league play.
Ryanne Milligan posted 15 digs to lead the defense, while Katy Schad (14), Dorothy Rahal (13) and Laura Der (12) each produced double-digit dig performances.
Der added nine kills to her stat line and Fleming recorded seven digs in her eighth match of posting 50-or-more assists of the season.
Tulane (11-19, 8-10 C-USA) received 13 kills apiece from Izabela Grot and Milica Jovic, with Nikki Osuna chipping in with a team-best 15 digs in the win.
