HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Herd baseball (12-7, 2-1) is set for its for road Conference USA series of the season with a three-game set at Charlotte Mar. 22-24.

The Herd dropped a mid-week contest to Virginia Tech, 11-3, at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston on Wednesday.
Shane Hanon extended his on-base streak to 13 games in the loss. Hanon also blasted his third home run of the season in the contest.
Elvis Peralta is on an eight-game hit streak.
Joshua Shapiro comes into the weekend with the sixth best ERA in NCAA baseball at 0.36. He's given up just one earned run in 25 innings this season.
Hanon leads Marshall with .392 batting average, while Zach Inskeep has a team-leading four home runs and 18 RBI.
