HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall track and field will host the seventh annual Thundering Herd Invitational Saturday at the Jeff Small Track at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
No spectators are allowed.
The meet begins at 11 a.m. and is a quad meet, with the Herd set to compete against Murray State, Ohio and WVU.
It is the first of three consecutive weekends for Marshall hosting meets in Huntington.
Marshall returns to action after competing two weeks ago in Birmingham, Alabama at the Blazer Invitational, when 12 Herd athletes took part. This weekend, 29 athletes will compete for the Thundering Herd across 15 events.
Scheduled to make their collegiate track debut includes Savannah Scaggs, Catelyn Hughes, Olivia Harrison, Janea Gardner, Maria Parra-Vargas, Tori Dotson, Cari Hively and Mackenzie Stanley.
Haley Bolt, Kyleigh Edwards and Mariah Harmon each expect to compete for the first time as a member of the Herd.
