Herd Baseball Continues Season at Charleston Southern

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University baseball team (3-0) heads to Charleston, South Carolina, for a three-game set against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (1-3) beginning Friday.

Friday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with all three games having live stats.

Luke Edwards enters the weekend third in program history with 43 doubles and tied for eighth with 187 hits.

With nine hits last weekend against Saint Louis, Gio Ferraro had the most of any Sun Belt baseball player in the first three games. He currently sits third in the conference and ninth in the country.

Relief pitcher Drew Harlow recorded seven strikeouts in three innings on Saturday. Harlow ranks fifth in the nation at 21.00 strikeouts per nine innings.

Scouting Charleston Southern
The Buccaneers are 1-3 after getting swept by then seventh-ranked Florida during the opening weekend and took a mid-week contest from The Citadel 4-1 on Tuesday.

Casey Asman, JC Agard and Bryce Brock are each tied for the team lead in hits with three.

Evan Truitt started CSU's contest at Florida on Sunday throwing 6.0 innings allowing three runs, one earned, while allowing just five hits and three walks. Truitt struck out five Gators.
