Herd Baseball Continues Season at Charleston Southern

Looks to build on opening series sweep
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University baseball team (3-0) heads to Charleston, South Carolina, for a three-game set against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (1-3) beginning Friday.

Relief pitcher Drew Harlow recorded seven strikeouts in three innings on Saturday. Harlow ranks fifth in the nation at 21.00 strikeouts per nine innings.

The Buccaneers are 1-3 after getting swept by then seventh-ranked Florida during the opening weekend and took a mid-week contest from The Citadel 4-1 on Tuesday.

Casey Asman, JC Agard and Bryce Brock are each tied for the team lead in hits with three.

Evan Truitt started CSU's contest at Florida on Sunday throwing 6.0 innings allowing three runs, one earned, while allowing just five hits and three walks. Truitt struck out five Gators.
