CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Marshall University baseball team (4-2) fell in the series finale to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (3-4), 6-1, on Sunday afternoon.
Â
"We didn't do the little things today," Herd baseball head coach Greg Beals said after the loss. "We have to be able to execute the finer points of the game in order to beat a solid opponent on the road. Zac had an encouraging start for us on the mound."

Starting pitcher Zac Addkison threw 4.1 innings on the mound, including the first four without giving up a hit. He also struck out five batters in his second start of the season.
Â
Gabriel Cabrera hit his first homer of the season for the first run of the game.
Â
After going 2-for-4 on Sunday, Kyle Schaefer recorded his third multi-game of the season and extended his hit streak to six games.
