Herd Baseball Welcomes Radford

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University baseball team (5-4) is to welcome the Radford Highlanders (5-7) on Tuesday in a midweek contest.

Kyle Schaefer has been consistent to start the season. The fifth-year senior leads the Herd with 13 hits and is tied for the team lead with three doubles. Schaefer sports a .354 batting average and is on a nine-game hit streak.

With a .357 batting average, Daniel Carinci leads MU and has the team's lone triple so far this season.

Gabriel Cabrera leads the team with 10 RBI this season to go with two homeruns.

Bryce Blevins is scheduled to start the contest. It'll be his first start and fourth appearance this year. Blevins has five strikeouts in six innings.

Scouting Radford
The Highlanders come into the contest off a weekend sweep of Hartford.

Eli Parks is scheduled to start Radford and it will be his first appearance of the season.

Julian Rojas has a team-best 15 RBI and two long balls through 12 ballgames as Zack Whitacre has 14 hits to lead RU.
