Track and Field Travels to Tampa For USF Invitational

Marshall to compete in two-day event starting Friday
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Marshall track and field team returns to competition for the USF Invitational in Tampa, Florida. The two-day event starts Friday on the campus of the University of South Florida.
"We have had a great couple of weeks of training, which I feel like we needed," Head Coach Jeff Small said. "We're looking forward to going down there in the nice and hot weather, which will be great for our sprinters. Looking forward to going up against some great competition."

Marshall is entering the home stretch of the season, with four scheduled regular season meets remaining before the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships, starting on May 11 from Coastal Carolina.
"Looking forward to watching all of our athletes compete, Ethan Bowens is an athlete who has been crushing it in the 400 in practice," Small said. "Also looking forward to our athletes from south Florida being able to compete in front of their families."
